Answer Hello Kathy. The DO code is for door open, and it sounds like the door switch assembly is bad and will need to be replaced on the dryer. The dryer will not start if it thinks the door is open.

Answer Hello Kathy. The strap is used for shipping the unit and is not needed for the washer to work. It is fine without the strap 22002008.
