I bought this gasket to replace the one that appears to be wearing out on my Kenmore dishwasher. When I compare it to the original one already there it does not appear to be the same. The "profile" seems different. It will fit but the part of the gasket that will seal the dishwasher seems a lot lighter and slimmer. Will it still work? Is this simply the replacement? I do not want it to leak! Thank you,

I have installed a new gasket onto my dishwasher, it still continues to leak from the lower left hand cornor, feels it is coming out of the door. First question, what is the correct way for the gasket to be put in, and what else might cause the leak. Does the gasket have to be formed for a few hours?

Answer Hello Kay, When you install the door seal the best way to install is to start in the with the middle of the seal at the middle of the door and work around each side. You may also want to check your lower spray arm 8268332 for damage. Check for cracks or holes that could cause the spray arm to spray downward causing water rippling.
