Had an issue where after water fill, motor would try to start and would not turn. Machine would try 5 or six times and then go directly to drain. Took motor off sump and checked to see if impeller was stuck Impeller is turning fine. After i put it back together it started working but now with a loud grinding sound. The piece inside the sump with the spring, is that supposed to have some play in it? I can move it from side to side a little bit. Seems to be loose. Thinking inside sump there broke and seized the motor at first. Thanlk you Marcos

My dishwasher started whining/grinding noise all of the sudden. I figured something was stuck in the impeller like a tooth pick. Removed parts let washer run still makes noise. Removed motor from sump housing everything looks fine. Used a cordless drill to spin motor. Motor fine. Looked in sump to see if I see anything. There is a coupler that engages the motor in the sump housing. Noticed I could use small flat screw driver and spin it. Used cordless drill again. Still not making the noise. Re install everything and it does it all over again. Defiantly coming from motor/sump area. Where the motor connects to sump is the part in the sump with the spring suppose to be moving from side to side? or have any play in it?

My dishwasher will go through the whole wash cycle as normal but when finished will have 2 inches of water still not draining. I have removed washer 2 times to make sure drains are not blocked. Have to press CANCEL/DRAIN button a couple times to get water out, but that doesn't always work.
