Our washing machine makes a lot of noise when it is spinning. it sounds like a bearing or something is going bad.
Answer You can remove the access panel on the back of the washer, and inspect the tub bearing from there. Look for signs of a leak around it, also rotate the tub by hand, and see if there is dragging with the tub.

My Stacked Maytag Neptune sounds like something serious is broken inside during the spin cycle. It bangs like there's someone inside beating on it with a hammer. It appears to be perfectly level and plum.
You will want to remove the baffles inside the drum and check to make sure that you do not have a broken bolt or loose bolt that holds the tub to the spinner assembly. If broken then the spinner support would need to be replaced.
