If the supressor is no good would it cause the house breaker to trip when the oven is plugged in?

This would be so if the suppressor is shorted to ground. Otherwise, there is another component inside the unit that is shorted to ground. You can find this issue by unplugging the unit and testing from the power cord with an ohm meter. First, use the test meter from ground to each of the prongs on the power cord to locate the one shorted to ground. Then disconnect one wire on this lead and see if it still shows the short. If not, reconnect and disconnect another. When you disconnect the wire leading to the short, the shorted prong will no longer show the short and will read infinite resistance, (no connection).
