I think I messed up the switch (AP3095444) by putting a longer screw in to replace one that fell out and got thrown away...now I think I need to replace the switch itself...it's on a RF366PXGQ0 range...is it that hard to replace the switch myself??? Could you walk me the process?

This is an older stove/range/oven. Double ovens side-by-side. It has 2 electrical outlets on the front, below the burner control knobs. One outlet is "timed' and one is regular. The regular outlet blew out while I had my coffee pot plugged into it. How do I repair this? The timer quit working at the same time. Is it a fuse? Thanks in advance. Serial # V DK 70223

The surface light stays on all the time even when all the knobs are turned off. Also one burner is not working. It is a whirlpool supercapacity 465. I could not find the actual model number but didn't look too hard. Could a bad switch do cause both of these problems? Dale

Last night I tried to boil a large pot of water for corn on the cob. I've done this a million times with this same pot and amount of water but last night the large burner took about 20 minutes to get the water lukewarm. The burner was on high and I could see through the glasstop that the burner was glowing bright orange. The outer ring turned on and a little quicker than I recall though. I moved the pot to a smaller burner and it finally boiled so that I could finish making dinner. What could the problem be? Surface unit switch? Bad burner? On another note, I was baking at 425 for almost 30 minutes and noticed that pork chops were barely past "done". They weren't even sizzling. This made supper quite unenjoyable if not for the great corn. lol.
