After my washer is done spinning the clothes are still pretty wet, I have been running them through the spin cycle again. What could this be?

Whenever our spin cycle is done the washer stops and there is a loud banging and thumping noise. Its like the inner basket is moving or the unit it resisting the stop. We took the washer apart and are going to replace the springs just to be safe but could it be something else?

Latest Questions

My washing machine goes out of balance everytime during the spin cycle. I had to take it apart and put a new pump on it and I think I may have misplaced one of the springs. The drum sits far to the front. Is there supposed to be a spring on the back of the drum connecting to the frame to pull the tub back? Would that cause the drum to always go unbalanced?
