Compressor was not working, replaced relay/overload, compressor now working but freezer fan motor not working, with door open getting 120v only sometime, fan motor was trying to run, bearings in motor are worn. tried new motor, cannot get to work. is switch for light and fan,
Answer George, The freezer door switch isn't going to be the issue, it only controls power to the lights and dispenser if equipped. Power to the evaporator fan is supplied through the refrigerator control board 4388656. You'll need to check the wiring for loose connections and replace the assembly if the intermittent voltage persists.
I have purchased this part in hopes that it would fix the problem with my icemaker not reading the door is closed and not dispensing. I am not able to see where this part is though or how to install it. The sensor is blinking twice when the door is open and when the button is pressed
Answer Louis, The Door interlock switch 12466114 is located on the hinge side of the opening when the door is opened, but it is not likely the issue. Based on the post information your issue is in the Refrigerator PC Board KIT W10757851. Try this : OPEN THE FREEZER DOOR- LED 2 PULSES FOLLOWED BY A 1 SECOND DELAY. (REPEATED)=THE FLAPPER DOOR ON THE EMITTER IS BLOCKING THE BEAM or THE OPTICS ARE FAULTY. PRESS IN THE EMITTER DOOR TO UNBLOCK THE BEAM - 2 PULSES FOLLOWED BY A 1 SECOND DELAY.(REPEATED)
THE OPTICS ARE FAULTY = REPLACE EMITTER & RECEIVER BOARD or LED IS ON SOLID = OPTICS ARE WORKING - CLOSE FREEZER DOOR.
