We have a dead unit. Nothing works at all when plugged in. Should I start with w10141364 control board?
Answer Hello Chris. If there is power coming to the control board, and the board does not work, you will need to order and replace the board W10141364 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Switches have never work? But recently water tray fills up then empties and then it starts all over. It continues to do this never making ice, running the water bill up.
The most likely issue with this unit will be the water level sensor part number W10548509. In a lot of cases this will fail and cause the issues that you have with the unit. The other thing would be if the unit is connected to an auxiliary drain pump then this could also be the cause. A short in the pump can cause the unit to continuously shut down and restart.
