Spin is too slow on reg/fast setting. Other settings seem OK. How can I test the switch? Can I just switch the wires from reg/slow with reg/fast? Will that test the switch? Thank you, Richard Avritch
To test the speed switch, Disconnect the wires from the switch to properly measure the resistance of the switch. Place the switch into the following positions and measure across the terminals as follows. each resistance should be >1 ohm.
Reg/Fast L1-C, L2-C
Reg/Slow L1-C, L2-2
Gentle/Fast L1-2, L2-C
Gentle/Slow L1-2, L2-2
Washer does not work for the gentle cycle or slow wash and rinse.
Answer Hello Joanne. If the motor does not run, and there is power to it during the slow cycles, you will need to replace the motor on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
