Answer AB, First you'll need to remove power to the laundry center, and remove the washer front panel. Slide the washer out, from under the dryer, enough for the washer top panel to clear the dryer cabinet. In each top rear corner corner is a 3/4 " opening, you'll need to remove the 3/8 inch screw in each. in the front corners you'll find a 3/8 " screw , facing up, they hold the front of the top to the cabinet and will have to be removed(you may have to dismount the water level switch and relays to access the one on the left. Once you have the screws removed, you can raise the washeer top, from right to left, use the draw string to hold the top from fallig over. The switch assembly is mounted to the washer top pael by a clip inserted in the top and one(1) screw.
Is this the right part for a maytag stack w/d model # lsg7806aae & how do you install it? Or could you show me a drawing?

Answer Hello Mykey. Take the two screws out of the front panel to remove the front panel to access and replace the lid switch 12001514. Once removed, you will remove the access panel above the washer lid and access the screws securing the lid switch in place on the unit.
CAN YOU SHOW ME WERE IT IS . A DRAWING

Answer Mykey, You're most likely working on a later version of a Maytag Stacked laundry system, (SG7804 or 7806) and the part number and diagram, indicates it is the washer lid switch. The switch assembly is mounted to the underside of the washer top panel, in the right rear corner, and there is one screw that mounts it to the upper side of the washer top. You'll need to remove power to the unit, slide the washer out from under the dryer, remove the front panel, Remove the two bolts(one in each front corner) remove the two rear top mount bolts in the openings in the corners of the top, and raise the washer top assembly sideways(right to left)
