My dishwasher is not filling up at all. I can assume that it is the Float Switch and I know I have to purchase a new float switch, however I am told that Maytag no longer has parts and again I am assuming that Whirlpool part # AP4366557 will work. How do I remove the bottom panel which I have tried to do by removing the 2 screws but cannot remove the plate as it is an 'L' shaped plate to get at the switch? Thanks

I have a slow small leak from the float switch, on this model it does not show a stand pipe seal on the diagram. Is there an O-ring or gasket that could be leaking around the float shaft arm or stand pipe base? Thanks

Washer was bought in 2006 & has worked great. Lately, when first started, machine shuts off 1-2 min after I start the cycle. Water level looks low so I jiggle the float up & down & then start it again. Fill continues & the wash cycle completes. Float moves freely & does not stick. Is it possible the water inlet screen is clogged ? What part do I need to order ? Ques: Is the float the only water on/off control or could the timer be at fault? I don't know if the float controls the normal water on/off or is it a safety just to prevent overfilling?

MDBH980AWSO Dishwasher, My float switch has a very slow drip leak. Yesterday the waterlevel must have went to high cause we had a small flood. I would like to replace the switch. One of your ans. to another persons question was to remove the float. Question one, how is that achieved? question two if the switch is leaking are there gaskets that will come with the new float/switch? and or will I need to order additional parts? Thanks, Ken
