Both my front dual burners are acting up. Sometimes work fine and other times only work on high. Sometimes they turn on and then shut off. I have read through the other inquiries and would like to find out more how to test the switch with the Mulit metre?

Answer Michelle, The test points on the switch are H1 to H2. There should be a steady 240 vac except when the element cycles off.

Hi, both burners on the right side of my electric range are giving problems. The single burner does not heat at all. The dual burner burns on dual high regardless of how the burner knob is set. I'm thinking the dual burner may need a control switch but i'm not sure about the single burner. The elements on both burners and the connections look good. Thanks for your help.

Answer Cheryl, You're on track, you most likely need both switches 9758060 the single element and 3149404 dual element switch. The dual element switch has a "stuck" contact and the single element switch has a contact that wont close.

I have the dual element with only the outside one working. I saw from your other questions that the same happened to another customer of yours. Answer Hello Andre. You will test across 2 and 4a and 2 to 4 on the switch for 240 volts. If not there, replace the switch. If there, replace the element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I ordered a dual element infinite sw. pn9758060 and want to check with multimeter before installing. I have instructions from an earlier model whirlpool dual element infinite sw but do not seem to be getting the right measurements. Please instruct. Thanks for your time and hopefully your answer.

Answer Hello Buds. With the switch 9758060 on, P1&P2, S1&S2, and 4&4A should read closed across the terminals. With the switch off, they will be open. Hope this helps.
