Part AP4027729 & AP4026713 (Inertial unbalance swich). Do these parts come with directions as to how one can access the parts for replacement?
Answer Hi Roy. You need to go into the front of the washer by removing the door and hinge assy. Then remove the opposite door panel hinge holders. Then grasp the upper front panel inner /outer corners to slightly twist and pull out towards your waist. Then lift the front panel up and off the lower frame hinges, set the panel aside. The tub displacement switch part # 22002044 and the inertia balance switch part # 22003302 are mounted on the front rt. middle of the outer tub area. Thank You.
My maytag neptune will not go into spin cycle. Could the problem be the unbalance switch?
Answer Hello Roy. Yes, if any of the unbalance switches 22003302 22002044 are bad you will need to replace the switch. They will prevent the machine from spinning. Also look for loose or broken wires going to the switches. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. My frontloader will not reach high speed spin and the message is it is out of balance. This happens with or without clothes and the machine is not vibrating very much. It does pump out water at full force but it sounds like water is still in it when I turn the drum by hand.
Answer Hi Dan. There is a inertia unbalance switch part # 22003302. It is mounted on the outer tub on the rt. side. By pass these 2- wires to momentarily see if this is the cause. Check the foot pads to see if they are still intact and gripping the floor OK. Is the shocks leaking ? This will permit the unbalance issue. Is the unit level front to back and side to side ? Are the leg lock nuts tight up against the base assy. while they are level ? You can use the tech sheet supplied w/ the unit folded in a packet and put the unit in a diagnostic mode to assist. Ohm out the motor windings. Check the tach. circuit for proper ohms and connections being tight. Are the motor and motor control board connections tight ? Thank You.
