My washer will not start when I close the lid but if I push a toothpick into the slot under the lid it starts. I need to know what parts I need to repair this. Do I need the whole lid switch or just parts to repair the switch? Thank you for your help. Sincerly, Wynell

On start up, my washer stopped working with the tub 3/4 of the way full, the timer stayed in position. I rotated the timer to various positions with no results..... Can this be a sign of a defective timer...I checked the lid switch and it seems to be ok.
