The red "STOP/CLEAR" button does not work. does part ap4216489 have the switch in it or just the front membrane? Can it be replaced with out removing the microwave from above the range?
The membrane switch is the touch pad which has the microswitches inside that would operate the stop/clear and all other buttons. You can remove the upper grill and take a screw from control panel to access without removing microwave.
Light for time and clock no longer works. Is this the part that would fix that problem.
The display light and clock would be part of the PCB assembly W10127098 which would need to be replaced.
Two of my numbers, #2 and #8, don't always work when I try to set to cook/time/etc. Is this the part that will correct that problem?
Answer Hello Marlene! It sounds like the key panel is shorting out and will need to be replaced. Yes, you will need to replace the membrane switch DE34-00233D. Thanks.
