The washer has stopped agitating and spinning. The timer, door switch and drive belt has been replaced. Now it has an electrical burning smell and hums at spin cycle but won't spin. Could the motor be bad?

I have a Magic Chef #W20HN2 washer that's been having trouble. It will easily fill with water, but it won't automatically agitate. It will work sometimes, but only if I pull the On/Off with a small amount of tension. Then when it needs to spin it doesn't have the power strength it should have and will be somewhat slower and even become a little bit squeeky sometimes. It doesn't stink as if an electrical problem either, it just doesn't want to work in the correct fashion. Could this be an engine issue, like it's gradually taking a dump? Another issue is that it seems to leak water below the washing machine and I'm absolutely certain that it's not about the drain hose. It's only a small amount of water that leaks, so I'll just wipe it from the floor and only dampen the towel - not like a flood leak, just mellow. I found one person to advise it might be because of needing a tub seal. Not sure though. Both of those issues somehow began at the same time and I don't know if that is normal with this kind of problem, or if that might just be a strange coinsidence. Any advise on what this problem is, and what I might need to replace if I decide to try repair it? I defineately can't afford a new one and I shouldn't have a problem trying to fix it as my first choice. Just not familliar with washing machines. Please help.

There are 3 cycles on this model. Regular, Super , and gentle. The gentle cycle is the only cycle that works correctly. The other two stop after fill does not spin or drain... the knob continues to end of cycle but nothing happens. What part do I need to repair it?
