My washer will not spin faster then 280 R.P.M. and does not pump all of the water out.
Answer Hello Edward,
The unit will not spin if any water is left in the tub. This sounds like the unit either has a restriction in the drain hose either before or after the pump. It is not uncommon for the drain pump 25001052 to be defective.
I ordered and recieved the recommended pressure switch,(Item Number: AP4027954
Manufacturer's Number: 22003728

there is no provision/spade connector for the double green wire that my machine has. but, I noticed that, in the main connect, there is 2 extra tabs on the new P switch, where there's only 4 tabs on my old P switch, connect...? Do I need to put the green wires into the pig tail, so that it will plug into, where these 2 extra tabs are located? If so, what type of leads do I need, that will fit into the pig tail? or is there a nother pressure switch that has the external spade on it, for this double green wire? hope this makes sense? any help or info on how to hook this switch up would be appreciated. thanks
Answer Schuyler, What is the serial number of your washer, you may have orderred the incorrect part, depending. Series 10 thru 73 require 22002994, and series 74 and up require 22003728, you may have the incorrect switch for your series number. As for attaching the double green wires to the terminals of the switch, NO, don't do it. Green wires are A UL required ground circuit, and will create a short in the switch if attached to the terminals, unless otherwise marked or labelled. There should only be four wires attached to terminals on the water level switch, blue to terminal 31, gray to terminal 11, brown to terminal 32 and yellow to terminal 12. You'll need to check the drain pump and area for a grounding lug/tab. Good Luick and Thanks
