My Washing machine fills with water and washes fine but when it gets to the spin cycle, it stops and make a clicking sound. I have to turn the knob to the rinse cycle. After the last spin , sometimes the water is left in the machine. Do you think this could be the timer?

Washer starts, fills and agitates fine but clicks off as soon as it hits the rinse cycle ande doesn't come back on. It does this in all 6 wash settings. Would this more likely be the lid switch or timer or something else?

The washer fills with water and then it won't do anything else. Is that the timer switch? It is just dead after it fills up.

The washer fills fine but will continue to agitate through the whole wash cycle (until hits off) but if I lift the lid and re-close it machine will go ahead and start where the timer is showing - example: if I lift and close lid at the rinse cycle, it will go ahead and drain and then fill up again for rinse but continues the rinse agitation until I stop it or if I lift the lid at the spin cycle, it will drain & spin. Also once in a while, after washing a load the machine will stop working at all for a couple of hours no matter where I set the selector and then next time I open & close lid it will start working again.

Sometimes it works fine. Other times, it fills, agitates, then will stop mid cycle. Other times, it will cycle through, but what the control dials indicates is happening (ex. rinsing) is not what in fact is going on.
