Washer will not fill,I have power to the hot and cold fill valves but solenoids will not open. The fill valves are good can hook power direct and solenoids will open. The auto sensing switch with the clear hose from the tub to the switch, when I remove the hose from the switch and blow in it should it not click like the old model pressure switches? Also I was messing around with the lid switch and every so often I would hear the water solenoid vale click open, rewired lid switch and even bypassed it and still have 117.4 V to the water solenoids but will not open. I am wandering if the auto sensing swith or fill valve is telling the machine is full and will not open the valves. Why would I have voltage to the valves but they will not open. Could I have a bad neutral wire?

Hot water comes in on cold setting and does not go though rinse cycle. Temperature control switch maybe?

Cold water fill rate is too slow. Water inlet valve was replaced recently and made some improvement, but it did not resolve the problem. Hot water fill rate is fine. There is a low hum while cold water is filling. Is the problem caused by a faulty pressure switch, timer motor, or a combination of both?

Latest Questions

Hi, Could you please tell me where the switch sensor is located? Thanks, Beth

HI, Just recently at the start of the rinse cycle the agitator will stop and the timer shuts off before the water is able to drain, thereby leaving a drum full of water. If I tap or shake the control panel just after the timer shuts off, it will kick in and continue with the rest of the cycle (draining and spinning all of the water off). Sounds like a timer issue but do I also need to change the sensor? I don't think it is a lid switch issue but how can I test this? Thanks, -JP

Hi, My Kenmore washer seems to work fine until it gets to the rinse cycle. It's like you turned it off. The lid switch seems to be working. I checked it, and have resistance with the lid closed and not when open. So I restart the machine at rinse, it usually will then drain and spin properly. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marc
