I have a Admiral refrigerator, which was recently moved from my mother -law home to mine. It is about 4 or 5 years old. She never had any problems with it, she just wanted a new refigerator. The problem I am having after setting it up is , it is not cooling the fans run but the compressor will not start after running it for almost 7 hrs. My question is it the relay on the compressor part #apa2966871 or and the capacitor part # 2262343 . Also can you tell me how to test them so I know the parts are bad before I order them. My maytag will wash fine but on the spin cycle after it drains it will not spin then smoke comes off motor. Belts are new. Can you help. Is it a motor capacitor? Just a long shot?

Answer Jumper, Your washer wouldn't have a motor capacitor. Your most likely issue is a seized tub bearing 6-2040130. Once the bearing seizes to the race / sleeve on the transmission case, the motor cannot drive the spin basket, and the motor and or belt can smoke. To repair the washer you'll need the tub bearing assembly, the tub mounting stem 6-2095720, the spanner wrench TJ90TB123A, and check the new belt for damage.

When I start my washer in any of the cycles,Normal,Casual,Delicate and Handwash it agitates and then starts to fill. In the spin cycle it will spin and pump the water out as usual. I also took the Switch Sensor out and blew through the clear hose and there were no clogs. So do you think It"s the Switch Sensor and / or Timer Control.Thanks for any help at all.

The washer fills with water then runs the wash cycle, then stops and wont drain or spin. Its like it shuts off.
