Element runs too hot causing dryer to shut down until unit cools off. Temp selector low or normal causes shutdown.Fluff is fine.

Answer Hello Rudolph. First you will want to verify the vent tubing is clear from any obstruction. You can disconnect the dryer from the tubing and run a cycle. If this helps, you will have to clear out the exhaust vent. Second, you might have a bad cycling thermostat 31001192. You can test the big terminals for continuity with a multi meter TJMA-DM1. If all these are okay, it could be a heating element that has grounded out to the base. You can visually inspect the ribbon cable on the element LA-1044.
