Dryer runs and heats up, but on a cycle with heat,(does not do this on no heat cycle) dryer will start and stop repeatedly, after cycle has finished. Took front off and cleaned lint blower and vent .
Answer WJ, Are you sure the "Wrinkle Guard" switch is in the "off" position. You're description " dryer will start and stop repeatedly, after cycle has finished." indicates the dryer is working as designed. The dryer tumbles intermittently after the end of the drying cycle, to keep the clothes from wrinkling from just setting in the tumbler. you have to turn this selection off after use or it remains active on every following dry cycle.
I think my switch is bad. What is the internal diagram of this part? When I put my Ohm meter on the white / purple and white / blue the Resistance is always 0 ohms on High / Medium / Low. Off shows no resistance. Is my selector switch bad??
Answer Keith, you're on the right track. With the white/purple and the white blue wires disconnected from the switch you should have a resistance reading of 10 ohms resistance, with the knob turned to the left(lowest temp. setting. As you turn the knob to the right(clockwise) the resistance should increase and reach a resistance of 10 K ohms, when the highest temp setting is achieved. It does sound like the switch has failed, but you didn't mention the issue with the dryer. Good Luck and Thanks
