The unit has power and can hear the solenoid calling for water. No water. Water line is open to the unit. Unit will not drain either. Can hear drain switch being powered also. The unit has set dirty and clogged for a few months.
If the unit has power getting to the water valve but no water is coming in then you will want to check to make sure that the valve is not clogged. If it is not then you would need a new water valve. Also check the impeller to make sure that it is good and nothing is caught in the pump. If this checks ok then you will want to check the drain hose to make sure that it is not clogged. If this checks ok and the drain is getting voltage then the pump would need to be replaced.
My Kitchenaid dish washer will not start when i punch the controls, the lights will come on but will not stay on.
Answer Cecil, Your issue is most likely in the control panel/keypad assembly W10500176 "One or More Keys Won’t Respond Or Unusual LED/Display/Key Behavior. Stuck key or short circuit(s) in keypad or in control’s input lines that read the keys. Capacitive touch keypad adhesive coming loose from console. Defective user interface. etc.
