The service tech sheet for this 'maytag' (whirlpool) shows 'level switch' 3356464 (connected to Water Temp Switch). Is it the 'problem part' - given malfunction described below? On Normal - washer starts agitating immediately before water even starts. Does this on many different cycles. Opening/closing lid sometimes gets water to run in - for a while. Before this new problem of 'immediate agitation' - washer would fill to a low level, then agitate. We could get additional water to add by opening and closing the lid. Any suggestion if this is not the problem? Thanks

Kenmore Washer. Unit did not pump out. Installed new drain pump and pumped water out with new pump. Reassembled washer. Went to use washer & washer did not stop filling. Big mess. Installed new water level switch (ap30119660). Reassemble water keeps coming in on wash, rinse etc with washer plugged into outlet. Unplug from outlet, water stops. Everything looks hooked up correct. Followed old wiring colors on new switch. Vacuum hose air tight when holding one end and sucking in. When hose unhooked from tub water spews out as tub full. Hose s/b OK. I do not know how to check wiring if that is recommended, but could follow suggested procedure checks. Tub is full of water but I think it should empty anyway. I think if I let water run too much it will overflow and it should sense sufficient water in tub to quit filling. I'm on city water & pressure adequate. Suggestions? I'll try anything.

My washer ran over into the floor. Had to turn water off to stop the flow. Washer cycles correctly when the proper water level is reached but the water keeps flowing unless I turn the water off. What could be the problem? Thanks Ronnie
