Cold water will not run into washer, hot will. I have already replaced the inlet valve, still doesn't work. Do I need to replace the temp switch?
Answer Hello Laura. Check for a wiring issue first. If none is found, then you will test the temp switch for continuity. If it checks bad, replace it. If it checks good, you may need to replace the timer on the unit.
I cannot get the water/rinse temp to change. Is this because the temp switch is bad or is this something else, like the analogue control board or water valve? Note, the tank fills to correct water level for washing.
Answer Hello Dwayne. This unit uses a thermistor in the water valve 12002158. It distributes the water temperature according to the setting. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the hot water valve, when the machine is set on rinse. If not, and the hot water is coming in, you will need to replace the water valve. If there is power to the hot valve on a cold rinse, you will need to replace the temperature switch 22002999. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I wish to remove the 4 button tempreature switch. I looked it over yesturday and could not get it out. What am I missing?
Answer Hello Bob. You will need to remove the three screws across the back of the control panel. Then rock the panel forward and lift the control panel out of the top of the unit. Now you can access the switch. You will need to unplug the wires going to the switch and install them onto the new switch. Remove the old switch and install in reverse order with the new switch. Hope this helps.
