On the water selector the cold cold button on the selector doesn't work but the other selections do. Does that mean the whole selector is bad?

This 11 year old washer has recently begun to intermittently feed warm or hot water during the wash or rinse cycle regardless of temperature setting. It is happening more frequently than not. Once this occurs, pushing any of the temperature buttons will not change the temperature. What's the problem and what parts do I need to fix it?

My washing machine will not allow any water to enter the washing machine when I have it on the Hot Water Wash / Cold Water Rinse setting. The other three settings Warm/Warm, Warm/Cold and Cold/Cold all allow "cold water only" into the machine. I have doubled checked my Hot Water feed into the washer and hot water definitely is coming to the washer. Could the temperature switch be bad? Bad water valve? Thanks.

Latest Questions

Cold water will not run into washer, hot will. I have already replaced the inlet valve, still doesn't work. Do I need to replace the temp switch?

I cannot get the water/rinse temp to change. Is this because the temp switch is bad or is this something else, like the analogue control board or water valve? Note, the tank fills to correct water level for washing.
