PURCHASED THIS STOVE APR 2010 USED THE OVEN 4 TIMES SINCE, NOW NOTHING. THE TOP 4 ELEMENTS ARE FINE. 23 OHMS ACROSS THE OVEN ELEMENT. ZERO VOLTS ACROSS THE OVEN ELEMENT WHEN SET ON ANY DEGREES, 350, ETC. NO OVEN LIGHT EITHER. VERY UPSETTING. OF COURSE THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. IN READING SEVERAL BLOGS ON THE INTERNET, THIS IS A EXTREMELY COMMON MANUFACTURE DEFECT. SO SAD, PAID $304 AT LOWES AND A NEW SWITCH, YOU LIST AT $115. LOWES PERSONELL BASICALLY ASKED "DID YOU GET THE EXTENDED WARANTEE? YOU SHOULD HAVE WITH A WIRLPOOL PRODUCT. VERY UPSETTING. EVERY STOVE I EVER OWNED LASTED 25-30 YEARS. DO YOU BELIEVE IT IS THE SWITCH ON THE STOVE THAT TURNS ON THE OVEN? THANK YOU.

Answer Lanny, There's a couple of quick easy checks to make, at the oven control switch. These will be live 120 VAC checks at the switch wires. First unplug the power cord or turn power off to the range. Remove the red wire from the P2 -6 terminal on the switch(so we don't get a false reading). Reapply power to the range and check for 120 VAC from terminal(s) P2-1 P2-5 Black wires to chassis ground, if you have voltage your TCO and wiring are OK. Check for 120 VAC from the terminal on the end of the red wire removed from P2-6 to chassis ground, if you have the voltage your L2 power supply to the range and control are OK, If you have the proper voltage readings, the issue will be in the control switch.
