I just bought this range yesterday used from a private seller. I needed to replace the 4 prong plug with a 3 prong plug. When I was hooking up the new plug the little copper tab in the middle of the terminal block broke off when I bent it to attach to the white wire on the range (it was previously not connected not sure if that is right or a big deal?). Do I need to order a new Terminal block to have this working safely/properly? Thank you for the help. Cole

I purchased the part because the original terminal block that was installed on the range melted and failed. The same thing happened to the replacement part purchased from Appliancepartspros.com earlier last week. I have photos of the terminal block in its melted state If you would like to see them. I'm wondering what could be the cause of the catastrophic and dangerous problem. I bought a replacement yet again from your website and had my brother, a master electrician, install the new part. He thinks that the bolts that secure the wires to the block do not sufficiently tighten which cause increased resistance, thus causing heat and melting. Have you ever had any other problems with this part #? I am concerned about a potential fire hazard from this part.

Kenmore Fridge - A circuit board that looks like a terminal/fuse board - top left corner of freezer - popped, flashed and fizzled. The part of the board marked "controller" is blackened and bubbled. I'm wondering if this board likely is the thing that failed, or if it is a symptom of a bigger problem.

Our black/hot wire arced and melted the plastic terminal around it. The wire from the plug and to the oven look like they are okay. Would it be safe to say the terminal block failed only, or should we be replacing more?
