Whenever I turn dryer on I cannot see igniter glow or hear gas valve open.
Answer Hello Patrick,
If the thermostats, thermal cutoff and thermal fuse test good, you will most likely need to replace the ignitor 279311.
When I turn the dryer on, I look through the hole on the bottom left, I can see the igniter glow, then the flame turns on, but after a while the flame goes out, and then has no heat, I checked the thermal fuse and the cycle stat, I think they are ok, should I replace them anyway or could the coils be bad and replace them also, or can the igniter be going bad, I am leaning to the coils, could I be right before I start ordering parts.
Answer Tim, you should start with a new set of gas valve coils 279834. The description would indicate that's where the issue is. If you start the dryer and let it run 10 or 15 minutes, then observe he ignition procedure, you'll probably see the igniter cycle on, then off, but no flame.
