i have a kenmore electric dryer and it was working when I put a load in. Then this morning I checked cloths was damp and i tried to start. It clicks but won't start, its getting power I can hear it humming what is my problem?
Answer Hello Mike,
You will want to access the blower assembly and check to make sure that nothing got down into the blower wheel causing to jam. If this checks ok then you will want to also check to make sure that belt did not break.
If thermal fuse blows out what does it look like? My whirlpool works great, but now no heat.
Answer Hello Tony. If the thermal fuse blows, the unit will not run. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
