Is it posible for the thermister to short out internally? Our dishwasher trips the breaker by shorting out through the water line. I can unplug the motor and element and it still kicks out the breaker, but if I unplug the thermister it doesn't.

Answer Hi Nathan. Yes, it is possible for the soil sensor/ thermistor to short out ,but it is rare. Make sure that the heater is not open or out of Resistance value of 10 ohms. The thermistor is part # 8193776. Did you get any failure codes? Thank you.
