Hi, I have replaced the evaporator, the entire upper unit (kit came all together 10 years ago when Whirlpool sent two boxes to my house, which included the compressor, run capacitor, drier, condenser). I replaced the capillary line too. Filled with less than 12 oz of Hot Shot. Unit works but does not shut off the compressor. This causes the low pressure lines to frost over at the upper unit.
I replaced the run capacitor and defrost clock (probably did not need to.) Do you think the thermister is the problem, or the electronic board?

Answer Larry, Are you sure the refrigerator and freezer are cooling properly(frzr 0 to 5 dgrs. / refrig. 38 to 40) ? It sounds like you have a restriction in the system, or an inefficient compressor. You may want to remove the freezer back wall and check the evaporator for a proper frost pattern. If the compressor is not shutting off, you'll also need to check the freezer temp. control 1113466 this component controls the compressor start, run and stop functions.
