I had two dryer repair technicians look at my dryer and tell me wrong issues. the first one said that the problem was the heating element but it was not, and the 2nd one stated that it was the electronic control and it was not. I finally took the face and rear off, did a continuity check on all the parts and found that the thermistor did not move. Is it possible that this part could make the heat dysfunctional?

My dryer was taking very long to heat up, so i open the unit up and started checking all the fuses and sensors etc. I replace the gas valve coils and it heated up right away. But I got no continunity on the thermistor, so I order a new one part# 31001590. When I got it I check it but got no continunity also on the new one. Do I need to add heat with a blow dryer and then check it for continunity or did I get a new bad thermistor? Is a no or a nc part and what does the part really does? pls help
