I have a Hardwick Century Series Gas Wall Oven. When it was cleaned, something happened to the thermostat. It is hard to read model numbers, but they look like G D7122 WB09R (the 9 is in question). I think need a new thermostat. I can't find information. Are they still available and where can I get one?

The upper oven does not turn on. Bottom oven and timer panel all work and light up, nothing from the thermostat for the top. While in use, it popped and went off. I am assuming that the thermostat needs to be replaced. Does this sound correct?

I have a Maytag double wall oven model CWE550 series 06. I had a 1/2 functioning (left side facing in) broiler element in the top oven. I attempted to pull the element out (with the unit off but not disconnected from power). As I pulled the element out the wires shorted on the back oven casing causing some sparks but did not trip the breaker. I shut off the breaker, removed the element. taped the wires, and turned the breaker back on. I then adjusted the upper oven thermostat to a higher setting and the red light came on but there was also a slight arching sound and moments later the red light went out. Now both the broiler and the bake element are not working in the upper oven. I swapped out the lower oven bake element with the upper oven's element and the lower oven works with both elements, so there is no problem with the bake element. The timer function panel and lower oven are working properly. Also the fan does come on when I adjust the upper oven thermostat to a higher temperature setting but no red light or heat. I checked what appeared to be a high temperature safety switch on top of the upper oven case and that has continuity. My guess is that the upper oven thermostat is burnt out but I'm not sure if it could be the selector switch? I was planning to order the upper oven broiler element, the gasket, and the upper oven thermostat? Your sales person advised me to consult with you first. Thanks, Dave
