I was looking for the procedure to replace the evaporator thermostat, Is the sensor soldered to the plate?
The best way to remove and replace the thermistor for the evaporator you will need to remove the cover over the heater coils. There will be 3 screws on the bottom side of it to remove. Then you will take the heater assembly out. One screw at the front on each side needs to be removed to slide it out. Once this is done, the back right connector is for the evaporator thermistor. You disconnect the thermistor then reach hand up under the evaporator and pull the thermistor off. It is being held in place by a clip.
