My oven can't heat any but top burners are fine. After troubleshooting, I found the oven element is good, but no electricity comes through the oven element. Is it the thermostat issue? Please advise. Thank you very much.
Answer Hello Heather, Test the thermostat and see if it is closed for continuity. If so, the clock is bad Y0315570 on the unit. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.
The range burners all went out at one time. The oven, clock, and timer all work. Is it the thermostat or switch? Is there a reset button on the back? I unpluged and plugged in but it didn't help.
Answer Hello Paula,
The first thing you should try is to flip off the breaker to the unit and flip it back on. If this doesn't do it, it's time to flip the breaker off and raise the main top. I would first check the molex connector that leads to the main top. You see, the surface elements only share the power supply and terminal block. From there, the cooktop and oven compartment are essentially separate electrical circuits. If you don't see any problem with the connector, you need to slide the unit out and remove the main back and check for wiring issues, (burned or discolored wires, burned or discolored connectors, hanging wires, etc...). Let us know if we can assist further.
