My dryer timer will not advance when you turn it on it heats and dries the clothes fine just will not turn itself off. I have replaced it because I thought this was the source of the problem yet now the new one still has the same problem. What would be the next part that would control / resolve this issue?

I need to replace the cycling thermostat and I can not find the exact same one with all the same numbers on it. Does it make a difference if the bad part says L150-15 and the closest one I can fine says L150-20 and the T-O-D on bad part says326816 and the closest new part says 326805? Also, why do all the diagrams and videos I watch and see not show the same dryer as I have. For instance, there is another part right next to the cycling thermostat that I believe is called just a thermostat, (looks the same but only has 2 wires connected vs the 4 on the cycling thermostat) but no videos or pictures have shown that?

I heard what sounded like a gunshot and smelled some electrical burning smell. The CB tripped on the panel. I opened up the front panel and tripped the CB, I then turned on the dryer again, I saw a spark and the CB tripped when I turned in the dyer again. the spark came from the Cycling Thist p/n L150-15F. I checked it, cleaned it for dust or anything I could see and reinstalled it. I turned it again and this time it Blew apart!. Is it just this part? I checked the thermostats one one the heater and the other on the blower housing and both were closed. Thanks for our help, Charlie
