Unit does not cylce on auto dry but works on Timed cycle. Therefore not the timer but seems like it is the thermostat. Is that correct?
Harvey for Model Number MDG2600BWW
Answer Hello Harvey. Yes, that could be correct. Try running the dryer without the vent attached and see if it cycles in auto dry. If so, the vent is the problem. Hope this helps.
My dryer heats up and shuts down, heats up and shuts down, does not stay hot where it will dry clothes.

Answer Hello Harry. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps.
