My Jenn Air S156 front clock and latch have stopped working years ago but the the stove and cook top worked just fine. Now, I have the following issue. If I set the knob to, say, Bake and then turn the temperature knob from zero to 350, for example, things work fine. If I do it the other way around, set the temperature to 350 and then the left knob from off to bake, I get a buzzing noise and burning plastic smell, like a short. I am posting a link to pictures of how thinks look behind the panel. It looks like something burned. Any thoughts? When turned to bake or broil the temperature control only turns the elements on up to less than 300 degrees. Another person had a similar problem and it was advised to check micro switch AP4291987 door lock solenoid limit switch. What I need to know is where the switch is physically located and how I get to it.

Michael, asked a question about broiler and heater element not working if temperature set to 300 or greater. The answer said micro switch AP4291987 was likely bad. My question is exactly where the switch is located and how do I get to it to replace it?

I ran the self clean cycle which worked fine after oven cooled down the bake element and broiler element would not heat up. I thought the oven heat element was burned out but then tried to run the self clean cycle to check heating element which did heat up. I assume the heat element is working. Why does the baking or broiler element not heat when I turn on the selector switch to bake or broil and the thermostat switch to 300 or higher degrees but does work when turned all the way to clean cycle?
