Most Interesting

The top half of the agitator popped off a couple of loads ago when pulling some heavy wet towels out of the washer. I thought I put it back properly because I could get it to lock back into place but after every load, the top half would pop back off during removal of the load. I think it was coming loose during the washing cycle. The last time, the Thrust Washer was cracked in several places and covered in a black goop which was different than the last couple of loads. I don't know what I should order. Advice is much appreciated!

The thrust washer cracked in several places and the agitator assembly came loose. How do you remove the agitator cap to reach the agitator bolt that secures bolt to the drive shaft? A diagram would be useful. How is the thrust washer attached to the agitator assembly? Thank you for your help.

I have a Kenmore model 110.27812690. The water drains, but it won't spin. It sounds like it is spinning and makes a fast plastic clicking sound. I opened the lid and the tub was stationary. Also, I turned it over and noticed a lot of black rubber dust on the floor. it looks like it is coming from a white cylindrical part with a rubber band around it. This part is located between the gearbox and the electric motor. Also, when I pry the black rubber band up, there are some peices of plastic about the size of tic tacs floating around underneath the band. What are your recommendations?
