I received my new timer. Can I change this myself or do I need a technician. If I can do it myself how do you take off knob of timer and how do you release top of washer to get to the timer.
Answer Hello George. You can replace it. Just disconnect the power and remove the screws holding the control panel to the unit. Then unsnap the center of the knob and remove the locking clip. Now you can access and replace the timer. Make sure you put the wires on the proper labeled
terminals on the new timer.
How does the flat 'music wire' spring fit into the 2-6228 control timer?
Answer Hello Thomas. If the spring is broke, you will need to order and replace the timer 206228 on the unit.
