How do you remove the selector dial from the front of the timer assembly so you can replace the timer assembly? The washer moves through the wash/rinse cycle if I move the selector by hand but not automatically. The timer assembly is bad, correct?

I replaced the thrust bearing because the tub wasn't spinning in the spin cycle but now the brake keeps setting and won't release by itself and when it's suppose to be spinning the adjator keeps adjating instead of the tub spinning does this mean my timer is out. What it was doing when I replaced the thrust bearing was in the spin dry cycle it would go into out of balance bounces and as soon as you would rearange and turn back on it would do it again and when finished clothes were still wet

The washer doesn't pump the water out during the spin cycle and the tub turns and a low speed unless you push the timer switch in and out a few times. When you do that it starts to pump the water and spin faster emptying the tub as it should. The pump is new, replaced 3 months ago along with the drive belt. I can't think of anything else it could be besides the timer or the 2 speed motor which I doubt.

My matag washer shuts off before the rinse cycle is complete and it will not start back up for a half hour. It will then start back up on its own. Would this be a timer switch that is over heating or something else? Thank you. Horold Kinzel
