I have a stackable maytag washer and dryer. My washer is going through the cycles fine and stops but it does not shut off it starts the next cycle and keeps going. I just installed a new timer. Can't figure out why it does not shut off.
Answer Jim, Make sure the washer drains completely, it should take 60 to 90 seconds to drain the water from the tub on the highest water level. Then, remove and check the air tube 22001616 for debris and sediment or clogs, and check the wiring and connections at the water pressure switch 12002304 If the pressure switch doesn't reset to the empty setting, it can cause the timer to advance through the off cycle. Also check that the motor and belts are properly adjusted and the motor moves freely on the carriage and that it doesn't overheat and open the overload.
MY LSE7804ACE washer has started leaking. I pulled the front off & set it up for a 12 minute wash. It fills, agitates about 2 minutes, then begins spinning, then spraying more water. Think this is a timer issue, not sure. Need a part number.
Checked the hoses - no leaks replaced the seals last year Any help would be appreciated, Karen
Answer Karen, The timer part number for the model number you supplied would be 22001180. You also need to remove the knob and dial, and check that it hasn't been installed incorrectly, by accident. If the washer is filled and drains and spins, and spray rinses at the same time, the washer will leak, if the dial is installed properly, then the issue should be in the timer, based on your post information.
