How do I remove the timer from the control panel? I have it exposed and the wires disconnected, but I am not sure how to remove it from the panel.
Thanks!

Answer Hello JP. The center of the timer knob pops out. Then you remove the clip inside the tiemr knob and pull of the knob, and the dial skirt. Once removed, you can remove the screws securing the timer and replace the timer on the unit.
My washer timer I think is going bad, it fills, washes just fine however when the dial reaches the spin cycle the dial will keep turning but nothing happens. I have to manual turn the dial sometimes all the way around or maybe hit on another spin cycle that will start the spin. Is this the timer causing the issue?

Answer Hello. It sounds like you could have a timer issue. First check the lid switch. 12001908 There may be an intermittent contact inside the lid switch. When the contacts open, this indicates to the machine that the lid is open and the washer turns ‘OFF’. When checked, the switch appears to operate normally and ohms out correctly. To identify this condition, turn ‘ON’ the washer and set into agitation or spin. While washer is running, wiggle the wire harness and connector attached to the lid switch. If the contacts are “bad”, the washer will shut ‘OFF’. If the washer shuts ‘OFF’, replace the lid switch.
