No Power. At first, we could dry a load, completing the cycle, but it would not start for a second load. This went on for several weeks. We could re-start it later to finish our laundry. Now, it will not start at all. We have checked 2 thermofuses, one at the front on the exhast pipe and the other on the back wall. The belt seems fine, we can move it to turn the drum. This is an Amana model # LE4307W. Any recommendations you can offer will be appreciated. Steve

Answer Steve, Did you check the door switch circuit W10169313 That could be a possible issue, otherwise based on the information, you may want to check the wiring and voltage to the motor. It sounds like you may have a failed motor 2200376.

Press the start button, dryer starts for a moment, then the start button pops off. If you hold it down the dryer will run, but stops immediately after releasing. Heating element turns on.

Answer Hello Seth, Either the start switch on the motor has burned contacts for the run windings in the motor, or the run windings themselves have failed. The motor 2200376 will have the start switch included so ordering it will solve the issue.

We had lightning hit a tree at our house, it flipped a couple of the breakers in our breaker box, charred our alarm system, damaged our internet router and modem and also my dryer timer doesn't work. The dryer is working as far as heating and rotating the clothes, but the timer doesn't move from the time setting I put it on. Also, when the dryer door is opened, the dryer keeps rotating as before it would stop. Any idea which part could be damaged?

While pressing switch to start dryer it will sometimes not start with full load. I can remove heavier items and dryer will start. When dryer won't start because of load it gives off a strong electrical smell and makes a noise like a contact is not making good connection. Motor works fine once started.
