Dryer stopped working in the middle of a cycle. door swith and 2 therms are fine. I have power going to teh timer and power at the end of the lead that plugs into the motor. I think three of the wires at the end of the lead read 120 volts and others varry from 20 -60 volts one does not have any voltage. i'm not sure if its the timmer or the motor
Answer Sean, Have you checked the thermal fuse, located on the heater housing LA-1053. If the fuse opens, due to a high heat issue, the dryer will not start or run. You may want to re check voltages at the motor. With power applied, and the timer in a timed dry setting you should have 120 VAC on the purple wire, on the red wire to the terminal block, and orange wire at the motor when the dial is pressed to start the dryer. The white wire is the neutral circuit(no voltage) and the red wire to the heater element will only have voltage, if the motor is running.
