Due to one of the leads coming from the 2 pole breaker for this dryer shorting out over one of the main leads coming into panel, in other words L1 shorted to L2 in the main panel of the house...I need to know what to check and perhaps what sequence ? I am an electrician and think it would first burn the contacts in the timer, or if there is any relays. I am glad to see there is no electronic circuit boards in this model. I did check the non resettable fuse on the blower housing as well as the thermostatic temp sensor and hi limit sensor....all had continuity.

Can a faulty Timer cause a no heat situation with the dryer? I have replaced the coils & the igniter but continue to have no igniter glow or function. There is electrical output (120V) at the connector for the igniter. This output goes down to almost 0 when I run the dryer. Any suggestions?
