Hi: My washer occasionally stops mid-cycle. I'm pretty sure it's the timer. However, the original parts list shows a timer and a timer motor. But I only see a Timer in your parts list. Does this one part take the place of the original two parts: timer and motor? Thanks, Tony

Washer control advances to mid point of spin cycle, it then stops, it will finish spin cycle if it is advanced a coupla of clicks. I am wondering if the control is bad.

Latest Questions

My washing machine (model #LA5580XTW1) will not empty or spin dry in the permanent press and gentle cycles, only in the regular cycle. Could this be the Timer (I believe it's part # AP3099903)?

I purchased a new timer (part no. 3946430) to replace the old timer (part no. 3351811B) on my washer (model no. LA5558XTW2). The new timer does not have the threaded mounting holes like the original timer has. Is this a defective part or has the way that it should be mounted change?

My clothes washer will no longer run the empty or spin-dry cycles in any mode (regular, perm. press etc.), fill and agitate work fine, not sure if it's most likely the timer, or if a dedicated motor winding or other part may have gone out on me. Does that generally tend to be the timer? I can read schematics and follow wiring paths just fine. Thanks.
