Where can I find my model number?

I purchased a timer assembly for my whirlpool direct drive washer. The timer is supposed to be held to washing machine by two screws that are accessed by removing the timer knob. The corresponding screw holes on the original timer assembly are threaded and the existing screws insert very easily. However the direct replacement timer that I purchased does not have holes that are threaded. The screws will not insert into the holes and the timer cannot be secured to the washer. Can someone please help me understand how this new direct replacement part is supposed to be installed? Is this a manufacturing error with the part that was sent to me or is there some other method to install?

Answer Heath, You are correct, the mounting holes on the new timer are not threaded. The manufacturer has discontinued that process. You may find it easier to partially install the screws into the timer(three or four revolutions) then install and mount the timer to the control panel. Thanks
