My washer works fine (it runs through all the cycles, fills, agitates drains, etc) but during the spin cycle. It doesn't spin most of the time but every few loads it will randomly work. Any idea what's going on? Thanks!

Hi: My mom's washer fills up with water and agitates but does not advance to the rinse cycle, or any other cycle after that, so it does not drain as well. If the knob is moved manually to the rinse cycle, or the spin cycle, nothing happens (the washer is dead). Can you help please? My mom is beside herself, she does not know what to do.

Our washer will fiil, agitate, then stops and will not drain and spin. We have done the continuity check with the multi meter, and it checks out okay. How do I check to determine if it might be the timer switch??

My washer stops after each cycle and I have to advance it to the next. When it gets to the rinse cycle it does not drain. I am unable to get it to drain, unless I sit there and play with it forever. Once I am able to get the washer to drain, I then have to set it at the rinse cycle and it will finish the cycle without a problem. What's up with that?? We checked the lid switch and it is good. Does my washer just need a timer control, or does it need something else?
