Kenmore washer 70 series .... When i put the dirty clothes in and close the washer lid, and start the washer , the water didnt stop, water in the washer overflowed, cause it wont stop filling.
Answer Ponex, Start the washer in a regular cycle, while the washer is filling with water, push the timer knob in, or unplug the power cord from the outlet(do this several times). If the water continues to flow into the washer with the timer off or the cord unplugged from the outlet, you will need to replace the water inlet valve. If the water stops flowing when off or unplugged, you will need to check or replace the water level switch and air dome hose. At present the timer is not likely the issue.
Washer hums and will not dispense any water (hot, cold combinations)
Water valves, temp switch and water level switches replaced without help.
Could the Timer switch be bad and cause this?
Answer Hello John. First thing to check is the water supply to the machine. If it is turned off, or the hoses have screens that are clogged, that is the issue. If the valve is humming, it is not getting any water to the valve in the unit.
How do you open the top of the washer for repairs?
Answer Hello Linda. Watch this video to learn how to access the inside of the control panel. The timer is different, but to access is the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsP0hjQfBfA
