Answer Hello John. First thing to check is the water supply to the machine. If it is turned off, or the hoses have screens that are clogged, that is the issue. If the valve is humming, it is not getting any water to the valve in the unit.

Answer Lea, Your first check needs to be at the lid and the lid switch assembly. Make sure the lid hinges and screws are tight and there's no excess play in the lid, then check and make sure the lid switch is not defective or loose in the mounting bracket and top. The washer can fill and wash with the lid open, but will not drain spin. If the switch and lid are OK, then consider the timer.

Answer Hi Brenda. Send us your exact model # so we can get you the correct parts info. Does it now completely stop at the spin cycle ? If so then the timer chosen is part # 3949210. Since you did not say it stops in the rinse cycle it may not be a clogged cold water inlet screen. Check this also and we can assist. you with the correct water valve also. Thank You.
